After downloading and installing Herbisoft Insert Diacritics, you can insert diacritical marks on your PowerPoint slides as follows:

Insert the base character for which you wish to insert the diacritical mark.
For instance, if you wish to insert à, the base
character that you should enter is a.
- Select the base character that you inserted and press Ctrl+` keyboard shortcut. This would convert the a character to à. The ( ` ) key is the key on top of the Tab key on most keyboards.

Note that these keyboard shortcuts can produce multiple diacritical marks where possible. For instance, if your selected base character is u and you press Ctrl+' and Ctrl+Shift+:, you would get ǘ (Diaeresis Acute). Similarly, if your selected base character is (again) u and you press Ctrl+Shift+@ and Ctrl+Shift+:, you would get ǚ (Diaeresis Caron).
